I had a wonderful stay! The king room was beautifully furnished with period decor and super comfy. Sandy served us breakfast in his kilt, and the croissants were fresh and delicious. The location is perfect-just a short walk to the harbor. Highly recommend this place! 🍷

What you’ll love and what you won’t
Sandy and Cathy create a genuine homey atmosphere! The breakfast experience fosters connections with fellow travelers, making mornings warm and memorable.
Limited check-in hours can cause frustration if arriving late. Also, the property lacks an elevator, which might pose a challenge for some guests.

The Scotsman Inn has a lovely charm with its beautifully restored antique furnishings and warm atmosphere. Sandy and Cathy went the extra mile, ensuring every detail was amazing. The breakfast, served by Sandy in his kilt, was a highlight for sure, especially the made-to-order croissants by Cathy and the delightful conversations around the big dining table. I loved the comfy king-sized bed which made for a restful night. However, the check-in process was frustrating. I was unable to check in after 7 PM due to the owners' strict policy, which was disappointing given we were traveling. It's also worth noting the building has only stair access to the upper floors, which could be an inconvenience for some. Overall, the ambiance was nice, but the service left some room for improvement.

Our family enjoyed the cozy atmosphere while staying at this lovely place with our grandchildren. We appreciated Sandy's warm hospitality—especially exchanging travel stories at breakfast and enjoying the farm-fresh blueberries alongside the tasty eggs and bacon.
My wife thinks there could have been more family-friendly breakfast options.
